I was catching up on my mail and happened to read the post from Suzanne with
the paragraph about giving up "beloved fuzzies". Yes, people should look to
the long term rather than just the present, I agree. However, not many of
us are truly blessed with precognition or visions of the future. Life
simply doesn't come with a ironclad guarantee. Does this mean that we
should deny even the briefest experiance of love and devotion because of
what "might" happen? Sometimes there are things that just don't work the
way we want them. At least some people make an effort to find good & loving
homes (they hope - again without being able to foresee the future). I
myself have taken in a pair of fuzzies and am trying to place them in a good
& loving home for a couple that couldn't keep theirs.

As to the reference about "you wouldn't get rid of your kids would you?", I
guess some people don't listen much to the news... like the lady who drowned
her 2 little boys in the lake, the teenager who threw her newborn baby in
the dumpster during prom dance.... need I go on? Please remember that we
are humans subject to unpredictability before passing judgement.

Enjoy!
