To Norma concerning the chewed-up balloons

Problem eating is something that most ferret owners face every once in a
while. One of mine loves plastic bags. On the face of it, it sounds like
you are past the worst of it, although there could be a ball of it still in
the stomach waiting to go into the intestine. To be on the safe side, I
would stick with the Petromalt for a couple of weeks longer (it's
inexpensive, non-toxic, and ferrets seem to love it). I always err on the
side of giving Petromalt for too long, rather than not long enough anyhow.
