::Laying back and muching on an apple, nonchallantly as I listen to
  Sukie.  The apple core gets flung over the shoulder with utter lack
  of care.  Wiping my mouth on my sleeve and sitting up::
 
Okay, like, I don't get it!  Like (I love saying "like"), ferrets are
obligate carnivores.  They live well off of live prey, prekilled prey,
Bob's gravy stuff, and even a raw diet.  So how would feed slightly
higher in protein percentages be able to do this?  The highest protein
content I know of in food is 50%.  Considering ... it just doesn't seem
all that high.
