Hello all, I am wondering how flax seed falls into health of ferrets
when put in these "grain free" foods. What is the general feeling for
nutrition etc? I always thought that flax was something that you fed
old folks on their cereal for more fiber. Ground flax also has only a
shelf life of one week at room temp before it can go rancid......what
about in the kibble?.......Also I have asked about the glycemic index
and foods in relation to ferret health. People that have diabetes have
to watch for these items, corn, peas, beets being the most common in
the pet foods, because they can cause sugar spikes. Does it do that to
our fuzz-kids? I am not in the position that I can go whole foods for
my ferts, but I do want to get the best for them out of the kibbles
available. Has anyone checked out Blue Wilderness grain free for
kittens?
