A couple thoughts --
 
I think the animal emerging from the toilet in "Ace Ventura" was actually
a river otter.  I pretty clearly remember identifying it as such when I
saw the movie, but I could be wrong.
 
Steve Coppock: I don't think you have to worry about your new ferret
being "tame" toward you.  It will take the new addition a while to
adjust, which is what I think you're *really* concerned about, but
tameness shouldn't be a problem.  A properly bred ferret that's been
treated well by the breeder should be perfectly tame when you bring
him/her home, barring the need for a little nip training.
