Skittles has said goodnite.

Though it is nearly noon, and the rain gently falls, I know she is soaring
to a greater place, yes, what a delightful little gal she was! First
arrived as a rescued ferret who had been kicked and abused by her college
owner in VT. The friend could not bear to see her live that way. We
welcomed Skittles in that was in Spring 95. Since then little Skittles has
had 3 homes and was returned to the shelter last December one of 2 ferrets
nearly starved to death. She did well, they both recovered-- more or less.

An obesity problem ensued for Skittles, then adrenal-- her left was
removed, but the spinal tumor at the end of the spine remained--
inoperable. Skittle healed well-- and even picked her own cage
accommodation when the new units arrived from Martin's last spring. Today
she rests and I am sure is rambunctiously playing with Skeeter and the
great Ferret Wise company at Rainbow Bridge. In the end it was her hear,
it was just too big for her tiny little being. We always new Skittles was
a big-hearted gal, she overcame all the abuse and obstacles, and still
would give kisses.

I miss you tubby little gal. It is ever so hard to say goodbye, we shared
so many days. Wait for me for I will see you, and before you know it!
