Actually what I said was our vet had not *heard* of any outbreaks
in our area (Washington Twp., Gloucester County)

Our regular vet is Dr. Robert Harris, Pitman Animal Hospital, North Delsea
Drive, Pitman (Washington Twp., Gloucester County), NJ 609-582-7500. He
is a good generalist, though not a ferret specialist. He can deal with
the day-to-day stuff, and is interested in & likes ferrets. He's not
afraid to admit what he doesn't know, and tries to keep up on the ferret
literature (he's not net-connected, though). He made the preliminary
diagnosis of lymphosarcoma for Bandit, though he was unable to confirm it
because he doesn't do bloodwork for ferrets. He also referred us to Dr.
Ann Jeglum for Bandit's chemotheraphy after he had his surgery at the
Animal Medical Center. All his staff love our ferrets & are genuinely
concerned about them.

Hope this helps,
Katie, Jeff, Bandit, Molly, Charlie & Pogo
