one mention of a ferret and many paragraphs about her love for all animals
and then she advertised her and her families web page, which clearly
states she has "livestock" and "feeder pigs" for sale. This post doesn't
make any sense to me. One word about ferrets in order to "qualify" for
the FML? This post seemed like nothing more than an advertisement for
her business.

Pet stores that know nothing about ferrets they have "rescued" are not
always doing the ferrets a favor. Did the store have any information
about the ferret to give a prospective new owner? Although unnamed, this
"exotic" pet store is in the area here in Washington, where there have
been several "undercover" investigations of the illegal "exotics" being
sold. I only hope the ferret has not ended up at that place.

Seattle Animal Control took a ferret, that had been surrendered to them,
to a radio show last Friday. During the interview the person stated that
they should be fed fruit and veggies. The ferret is at our shelter now
and will be adopted with appropriate information for the new owner.

[Moderator's note: I took the Wilson's post to be in reference to the
thread about leaving your loved animals behind. BIG]
