Charlies surgery went fine. The abscess ran from the side of her little
nose clear down through the gum. The teeth are fine. So they opened
it all the way and cleaned it then left the bottom open to drain beside
her teeth and gum.

Marley had a barium x-ray that didn't turn anything up. This morning when
the vet got in Marley was eating and drinking and wanting out of the cage
NOW. Travis (Dr. Gratta) thinks the barium may have helped - seems it
does help sometimes but they don't know why. I've asked that they dissect
the stools and take another x-ray to see if the colon is still gassy and
the intestines still bunched. So Marley didn't have surgery. Now he
keeps knocking the bowls over and the water bottle off of the cage. He is
"pacing" the cage and it takes two people to get in and out of it since he
is feeling much better. His posture is back to normal.

Both will come home this evening. Thanks to all that sent warm wishes
and prayers.

Hugs. tle
