The blood donor issue caught my eye and I decided to give my two cents.  My
vet has a ferret that lives at the hospital and uses "Woody" when he needs
a donor.  One of my ferrets, Tanker has given blood three times in order
to give Woody a rest.  I believe it would work if everyone with a young,
healthy ferret would be available for emergencies.  No one should have to
go through the agony of waiting to find a donor.
 
On a non ferret related note (OK, BIG?), One of my young friends collects
stamps.  Would any of you FML'rs from other countries be willing to send a
stamp(s) to me for her?  She is a delightful young lady and always asks
about my ferrets and especially for my Peewee, her favorite.  If any are
interested in this, contact me and I'll send you my snail mail address.
She even likes canceled stamps!  Thanks!
