The results are ferrets under pedals so they can not be depressed, or ferrets distracting. Of course, in this case the rum may have been as much or more to blame... Still, things like this have been reported before with no rum, and while accidents can happen it pays to reduce risks by being sober, not having animals running loose in a vehicle, being awake enough, not engaging in distractions (since texting and cell phone use look like they are responsible for a very high rate of accidents these days), etc. The ferrets were not injured (unless hidden injured showed up later) and hopefully the young man will recover.
