response to WHAT IS THE BEST KITTY LITTER?
 
compressed wood fuel pellets available form fireplace stores.  $4.35 for
40 pounds.  I use a dish wash pan and about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches for 5
ferrets.  Less thrown around the place.  Clumping can be swallowed and
cause blockage and clay has some drawbacks.  Newspaper print smells with 5
ferrets and costs too much.
