Well, at 4:45 Meltdown actually took about 4 dozen laps of turkey soup.
It's the first thing which might be considered food which she has taken all
day, and only her second time drinking anything since she drank a bit of
warm glass water around 7:30 in the morning (a psychological ploy since she
figures she is stealing from us then -- gotta work within their behavior
system for best results). She then tried to walk and actually managed maybe
ten steps. This afternoon she had begun having trouble with her front left
leg folding (possibly separate from this morning's problem -- could have
been another thrown clot) but after the soup she took those steps -- granted
they were shaky but they were something. Immediately after she urinated for
her first time today and defecated a tiny bit for her second time (the first
was in my shirt this morning).

She still is in an exceeedingly bad way, but we've all seen how little
Meltdown is interested in dying and how very stubborn she is about staying
around. At this point it is possible that she might bounce back yet again.
Not bad for an 8 and 1/2 year old, is it? If cats have 9 lives, Meltdown
has 50.
