First of all, let me just apologize for this being semi OT and for posting
anonymous...I don't feel I am flaming anyone and since this is kind of
embarrassing, I prefer not to list my name.  If Bill would like to forward
personal messages to me, I will leave that up to him.
 
I won a couple ferret related items off ebay [from the same seller], the
total cost came up to all most $75.00.  Now, I don't know about anyone
else, but I am NOT made of money and loosing this much tends to hurt ones
bank account [especially when you don't get anything in return].  The guy
had excellent feedback, so I don't understand why he choose to become a
jerk on us.  We paid him through paypal and he had no problem taking our
money.  However, he seemed to have a problem sending our product.  We
waited awhile before questioning him and he said there was a mess up in
the shipping and that we should be getting it in another week.  We waited
one more week before emailing him again, insisting he give us a refund.
He said he would, but never did.  Now he is ignoring our emails.  We
emailed him under another email account and he answered right away [before
he knew who we were].  Once he realized who we were, he started ignoring
our emails again.
 
We've turned him into both paypal and ebay....both not willing to do
anything.  Paypal won't even acknowledge our complaints and emails.  How
are we suppose to protect ourselves?  Is there anything we can do??
 
This is the problem with ebay and paypal....so what if someone screws you,
there is no way you're getting your money back.  Who's going to fly 5
states over to sue someone???
 
Any advice would be appreciated.  Please be careful when buying off ebay,
my ferret friends.
