As Suke stated , this is very serous here. I NEED to say how deadly
serious it is. Sukie has been telling us for some time, to get us
better educated. People LISTEN UP!!!!!!

My shelter has been hard hit with a few things recently. First being
the new strain of coccidia. I was taking stool samples to the vets
every other day, for testings. We jumped onto both Baytril & Albon for
14 days. Second set of tests done showed we had a bacteria, of which
my vet sent to the lab, for growing. There was blood in the stools.

Ok, we did another medicine Ponozuirl. Now stools are clear of
coccidia. But we still have bloody stools. I'm biting nails waiting for
the bacteriologist to call us with his findings. Finally vet gets the
call. BUT I'm not prepared for what they said. I had (shelter) a shiga
toxin, known as E Coli. Now How the hell did we get this I'm asking?
I'm anal with food preps. So, throw out all kibbles & open new bags.
Call vet crying, what have I done to my kids here? I'm here to protect
them from any harm. I've let them down. I can't forgive myself for
this.

Vet calls lab back, we got E Coli from poultry. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU
SAY? I buy the 10# leg quarters from Wal Marts on a weekly basis. Often
I add ground turkey as well. This time I didn't. I open bag of chicken
& dump entire contents into an 8 qt crockpot with a liner in it. It at
NO time does it ever touch a surface . I cook chicken on high for 24-36
or more hours. The temp in the crockpot is 220.

However, not enough to kill the shiga toxins already IN the chicken.
Nothing will kill it, as in cooking.

So, I had no idea & made my soup & served it, unknowingly, all the
while that I was serving E Coli.

Now I have a wonderful vet & we did research for a drug (this crap
is drug resistant) that will work(?) to kill it. All we found was
Tetracycline. He ordered it, but it would take 3 days to get here. What
could I do to help eradicate this before meds arrived? I got online,
looking up herbs & called a friend to help me with them. I RAN to the
nearest place to grab stuff t make a new soup with. My soup for the
last 2 weeks has consisted of their kibble & water fed thru a blender.

I fed this soup/ & milk thistle, slippery elm & multi-enzymes twice
yesterday & can see a difference already with the crew. Still will use
both this recipe & meds to kill this, (Please God, let this work)

I'm in quarantine, not anyone can come into my home. Until we get this
killed. So, PLEASE LISTEN to Sukie when she posted anything pertaining
recalls & toxins . She is only trying to help us.

And then, my job has ended. My paying job. Not sure if I'll get to
draw unemployment.
