The Fuzztek Ferret Shelters would like to clarify their status as a shelter
in light of tday's press release about ADV.
 
Fuzztek North (New Milford, NJ) has shut down intake and adoption of
healthy ferrets.  All healthy and adoptable ferrets were removed from the
premises to Fuzztek Central prior to the introduction of ADV positive
ferrets.  Fuzztek North will operate only as a permanent shelter for ADV
positive ferrets.  They will take in on a space available basis ferrets
referred to them by other recognized shelters which are ADV positive (with
paperwork from United.)
 
Fuzztek Central (North Brunswick, NJ) continues to operate as a normal
shelter, accepting turn-ins on a space-available basis (always in emergency
cases) and adopting out ferrets to approved homes.
