I had posted before regarding the lack of a response from someone who
was entrusted with the body of my Martini girl. I was told that he would
do the necropsy and I would get the results along with my veterinarian.
This would also help benefit his studies.

However it has been 2-3 years since her death and no response to my
continued requests. I do realize this person has a lot of personal
things going on in his life so at first I did not push the issue. It was
later when I realized that other people in the ferret community as well
have just as much, or if not more, going on in their lives and are able
to keep their commitments. I had a lot of sympathy and was going to let
it go until I realized that this person now is back on the FML and keeps
posting on the FHL. My thought is if he has time to make these quite
lengthy posts then he should have the time to properly respond to me.

I need to put closure on Martini's death. Within 1 month she went from
a vibrant ferret to dragging her rear limbs and a lump on her head the
size of a ping pong ball. She had to be euthanized. If he was no longer
going to be able to accept ferrets he should have let people know in
advance so people would not entrust their ferret to him. I know that he
did the necropsy because he briefly discussed it with me, but could not
give me specifics because he did not have the report with him. So at
this point I don't think I am being unrealistic to expect some
explanation.

I do not mean any disrespect to this person. He is a very talented
person who has devoted much of his time to ferret history & behavior.
I know he and his work is well respected in the ferret community. Rather
this is just a warning so other people are not left wondering and have to
go through what I am going through.

God bless my little Martini girl. You where taken away from me to soon.
I miss you dearly and you will never be forgotten!

This may surprise some people and some people it may not. His name is
Bob Church.
