Hello all,

Last Tuesday my daughter's ferret - Baily - had adrenal (sp?) surgery,
which the vet said was entirely sucussful . At first he seemed to be
doing fine and even started chasing the dog again - his favorite pastime.
Then, suddenly wens night he became very hyper. He walked around the
room all night stopping only once in a great while because he seemed
exhausted. We consulted the vet who did the surgery and he is at a total
loss. The ferret will burrow into a blanket and shove his head into a
corner and just stay that way. If you pick him up he will try to get
away unless you cradle his head. The vet has done tests for liver damage
etc but no results yet. He (the vet) said he has never seen anything
like this and is consulting some "exotic" experts. Today we noticed
the tip of the tail and his toes are turning bright red. Can anyone
shed any light on this bizare turn of events ?

Hopefully, Matt Claus
