Hi,
I got to thinking the other day, that since there are sigs on
Compu$erve and Genie which are possibly gatewaying the ferret-list,
wouldn't it be nice if those groups gatewayed back to us.

Couldn't one of the CI$ or GEnie users mail their respective
ferret traffic (or at least a summary thereof) back to us?

[I don't think this is a great idea - both Compu$erve and GEnie
tend to consider stuff on their networks to be owned by them.
Gatewaying something back to our list would probably get them really
upset. Secondly, the volume would likely go way up, and I've
not automated this list.... If someone is interested in doing
the legwork in asking Compuserve or GEnie, and is willing to
edit the stuff, it would be worth while exploring further]

lenny.

PS. This wasn't really intended for posting, only to solicit your
comments. Howvever, if you feel that the ferret-list should openly
discuss this matter, then please delete these postscripts before
posting this message. Thanks again, for being the moderator.

[How could I possibly omit a compliment? ;-)]

PPS. take a look at the address at the top of my postings. :-)
the mailer one hop upstream from me (and in some small respect,
the mailer here) conspire to really make minced meat out of my
poor little path. Sadly, I cannot affect either mailer. :-(
So thanks for including my sig under each posting.

[You're not the only one who's reply addresses are brain-damaged.
As policy, I include signatures as long as they're fairly small.
I strip duplicates and excessive ones. The SA's responsible
for machines that screw up From: lines like yours is should be
taken out and shot. After prolonged torture.]
