Hi everyone,

First off I want to thank the many people that sent me emails on their
experiences with adrenal surgery, they were very helpful. Loki came through
the surgery great! His left adrenal was removed on Friday afternoon and I
picked him up at about 4pm that day. As someone stated in an email they
sent me, looking at them afterwards is almost enough to bring a tears to
your eyes. He looked terrible, but seemed better on Sat. I have been
feeding him duck soup, but left his food in the cage with him, and by Sat.
evening he was eating on his own. I am going to continue to feed him duck
soup for a few more days, just to make sure he gets all the food he needs.

By Sun. he was hard to keep down. He wanted to walk around and explore so
I let him, just made sure he did no climbing. He tires quickly, but I was
amazed at how fast he recovered, if I was him I would still be laying in bed
doing nothing. I have let my other ferret, Powder, sniff him but that is
it. He like to wrestle and I'm sure Loki would try to accommodate if I
would let him.

I will continue to let him do more stuff each day, and on the 16th he gets
his stitches out so I'm sure he will be ready to terrorize again by then.
Thanks again to everyone who sent emails and thought about Loki over the
weekend, I can't imagine how I got along before I found the FML.

Thanks Travis, Loki & Powder
