I had a ferret that wasn't descented and he never poofed, not even
once. I thought maybe the shelter made a mistake but nope, he was just
a calm big guy. Then along came Tyki the monster man who only poofs
when he gets mad...really MAD. It's always just a little poof.....
nothing special....gone in seconds. So....no problem when the adorable
little Treasure came to live with me...sweet tiny little baby...who
POOFS like the Jolly Green Giant farts or maybe Paul Bunyan farts or
Goliath farts...I dunno, but its like a major gas leak where the entire
neighborhood has to evacuate. Treasure likes to poof....she LOVES to
poof....it's her special purpose in life and rarely a day goes by that
she doesn't show off her expertise in poofing. Wake her up from a sound
sleep...POOF..... another furkid takes her toy.....POOF.... another
ferret gets into the dripping shower before her...POOF... someone
startles her....POOF. She absolutely LOVES to POOF. It's her special
talent.

Treasure also has another specialty....when I am busy..... carrying a
huge load of clean ferret bedding or a clean bowl of water in each hand
or some other task, she runs up the INSIDE of my pants.....ALL THE WAY
UP...... the INSIDE of my pants. She likes the reaction she gets from
me...bloodcurdling screams and the hopping up and down on one foot
while shaking the other trying to dislodge a climbing ferret while
juggling laundry or 2 bowls of slooshing water. She never climbs up the
OUTSIDE of my pants. It's always the INSIDE. She doesn't scratch me or
bite me. She only has one objective.... to have me do the "There's a
Ferret Up MY Pants Dance"! Maybe it's like a rollercoaster ride for
her....I dunno, but if I had my choice of one of her mega-POOFS or
doing the "There's a Ferret Up My Pants Dance"...I'll take the poofing
any day!
