I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever attempted to shut a shelter down
for being a very bad place - be it a ferret shelter or any kind of shelter.
Over the past year I've received a number of people writing to me telling
me horror stories about some places (ferret and non-ferret) out there and
I've never known what to tell anyone regarding what to do officially to
shut a place down. Before anyone gets in a tizzy, it's nobody that I know
that is this latest bad report, and as far as I know I don't think that
anyone on this list knows about this place. But the person that wrote to
me would like some information about what channels to go through to check
this place out. It's out of my area so there's not a whole lot that I can
do. Any advice I can give this person? Serious replies only. And please,
no flames. I would NEVER suggest someone go out half-cocked trying to
shut someplace down because there's a little dirt on the floor. These
are serious allegations. Thanks!
