I live on six acres, which in Ca-Ca land is nice, because I can still take
mine out without fear.
 
Do they heal?  No!  But I don't "drag" them along either...they stop, sniff,
burrow, dig, move on, and stop again.  Kind of like life...the ferrets go
where they will, and I follow!  But they love to get some time outside!
