to supplant the advice of veterinarians who are in charge of the patient.
If the patient is not currently under the care of a veterinarian, the client
is recommended to take their ferret to one.**

I have encountered asthma in ferrets.  The medication I usually prescribe is
children s liquid prednisone.  I do not know the incidence rate for ferrets.
Most ferrets with cardiomyopathy are males, but not exclusively.  I do not
think anyone knows the female ferret incidence rate at this time.  This type
of information is still in its infancy.
