With recent discussions about people hitting their ferrets, their kids,
their dogs, and worse, about ferrets and dogs being killed--it was really
heartwarming to read Julie's post "Favorite parts."
 
It's encouraging to be reminded that there are people out there who can
overlook their ferrets' bad habits and allow joy to be their main
experience with these wonderful creatures.  Ferrets--like dogs, cats, other
animals and kids--are gifts who come into our life, not something we
possess and can treat however we want.
