Hi all -- got a question for you, but first, some background. . .

Our oldest (and alpha-ist) ferret passed on about 2 months ago due to ECE.
All of our fuzz-bears got it, but her being the oldest (and most precious)
succombed to it within 2 weeks of signs first showing up. We miss her
horribly, but are trying to put our energies toward the rest of the gang
(and our biggest ferret, Astro, a 73 lb. greyhound).

So, lately, Sparky (age 3) has decided that he wants to be king of the
jungle and has been beating Boing and Freddie (both age 2.5) with a passion.
Normally, I would just say it is ferret games, and leave them to ruff-house,
but Freddie is a special case that we adopted some time back. He was a
nervous wreck, because he was kept in a small cage with fully intact couple
(the male was always beating him). So, when he came to live with us, he was
terrified and Roo took care of him and let him be a happy guy again. Now,
Sparky is making him scream at all hours of the night and he is starting to
become very shy again.

Any suggestions? I have been spending extra time with him lately, but
school takes a lot of time, and I don't have as much time to share with
him as I did over the summer. Oh, and one last thing, it seems when any
of them gets stressed, they do the bad ECE-poo's. So, that is another
reason I would like to stop the fighting.

Thanks,
Susan and the fuzzy worms
