Pheochromocytomas:
I don't know if this form of adrenal malignancy occurs in ferrets.  Most
of their adrenal growths are benign neoplasias, adenocarcinomas (for
which surgery is so often curative), and lympho based there.  I'll ask
ferret pathology specialist, Bruce Williams if this is at all applicable.

JL: juvenile lympho is the form seen commonly in such very young ones.
As a disease it is rather rare.  In 20 years we've had only one ferret
with JL.  Sorry that you have encountered this heart breaker.
