The following was received in a MySpace bulletin with a request to
crosspost. I thought this the best place to post it to, and quite
frankly I'm surprised it hasn't already been posted here.

>Shelter being sued in Breeder Shut Down Effort
>
>Since it is a matter of public record, I may as well put it here
>and make it easier for people to read. Again, since it is all already
>out there, and in public view, I may as well put it all in one space
>so the plaintiff's attorney doesn't have to go digging to find what I
>said.
>
>The shelter is being sued. Yes, you read that right. In addition,
>so am I, along with several other people who are trying to close
>down the farm in southern Ohio.
>
>Please see this link:
>Those were the conditions, and those are conditions that have existed
>on that farm since the first time I was there back in 1995 or 1996
>(cannot remember which year, the first time had to be in 1995, my son
>was still in high school).
>
>Why is he suing? He is claiming defamation of character, ruining his
>business and emotional stress.
>
>If you follow this link, you can read the entire summons and all
>of the charges:
>
>Listed below are the links to the various spots that I have posted to.
>
>This link is to the shelter's myspace page:
>Again, you will have to scroll down to read what was written.
>
>This link will bring you to the shelters page on myfoxcleveland.com:
>you will have to scroll down to read the first and second blog.
>
>This link is the press release:

>
>This link will bring you to the youtube video, (you can also search
>using Breeder from Hell in Ohio):

>If you look at the post previous to this one, you will see what was
>posted on the FML (Ferret Mailing List)
>
>Yes, I did call it a hellhole. In MY OPINION, it is a hellhole. My
>first amendment right is to freedom of speech and press.
>
>I said the breeder was in Southern Ohio in most of them, one I
>mentioned Marengo, and Morrow County. The only time I had used the
>name was when I posted on the FML (Ferret Mailing List) in response
>to posts that seemed to get people angry. Angry people do not think,
>and lash out, name-calling and accusations start, people who would
>normally work together work against one another. Those posts were an
>attempt to calm people down, and let the legal system work. Nowhere
>have I said a let us raid the farm, instead I pointed out the harm a
>PeTA style raid would do. I would not divulge the location to anyone
>unless it was to authorities.
>
>Yes, I did file complaints with the Health Department, USDA,
>Department of Agriculture, Humane Society, and the ASPCA. I have done
>so several times over the years, to be ignored. Those pictures made
>the difference.
>
>I did not speak from hearsay. I have been there several times; I spoke
>from seeing it first hand.
>
>We are working on obtaining a lawyer, which is going to be expensive,
>so I am asking this, please make a tax-deductible donation.
>
>[log in to unmask] is the email address for the paypal
>account that was set up specifically for legal fee donations. They are
>tax deductible. If we do not use them, we will refund your legal fee
>donation. No other monies will go into this account. You can do check,
>paypal, credit card with this account. Please be sure that your
>mailing address is correct so we can send you a tax receipt or a
>refund if the funds are not used.
>
>If you prefer to send a check, send it to Ferrets Unlimited Legal
>Fund, 4116 Bucyrus Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44109. Again, there is a
>separate account for this so the donations will not be put into the
>general shelter account.
>
>Remember it isn't' just this shelter, but each person on that summons,
>each one puts their heart and soul into the world of ferrets,
>sheltering, and education. Every one of us puts our all into our
>shelters and programs.
>
>Please, if you can spare a dollar it will help. Feel free to let folks
>know we are in desperate need of help and guardian angels at this time.
