Got Kim several ferret-related items for Christmas, including two of Pam
Greene's stuffed ferrets - a DEW and a sable, to (somewhat) match our
fuzzers. Well, Kim wanted to see the real fuzzies reaction to the
newcomers, so we set them down. Goose, our DEW/hint of silver 6-yr. old
adoptee, stumbled (literally; we've concluded he's pretty much blind) across
his likeness, and after a cursory sniffing over, began cleaning it's ears,
much as he does for his little sister!!! After a minute, he started trying
to drag his new playmate off for safe- keeping; guess he couldn't get a good
scruff, cause he ended up dragging it a couple feet by it's nose!! :-0
Anyway, Kim put her foot down before it gottaken under the bed, beyond the
reach of two-leggers...

Re: Excuse Me?; I have to agree with Shari that kits are definitely *not*
the only option; Goose was adopted at age 5 and while he's by no means a lap
ferret, I think he's a bit more cuddly than Annie, who we got as a kit...and
I wouldn't trade *either* of them for the world. I think how
people-oriented a ferret is depends on the individual ferret more than
anything.

Ferret tattoos for people...you know, I like that!! I could have a ferret
on my shoulder 24/7!!! Or one crawling up my leg...a silhoutte of one
standing, nose sniffing the air, would be cool...now I just gotta find a
tattoo guy who can draw a good ferret!!
