To Shelly Nice concerning Vanilla's swollen "bottom":
 
        If her vulva is swollen, and your vet doesn't recognize it for what it
is, maybe you should find another vet.  An ultrasound is nice and hi-tech, and
may show that the adrenal is enlarged, but how much experience do they have with
ferrets?
 
        I would suggest finding a vet who does more ferret work.
