Dear Cheryl -

In most cases, hair regrowth commences within weeks - but it depends on
whether she was totally bald, and how long the hyperfunctional adrenal has
been secreting estrogen. the longer it has been function, the more
atrophid the follicles are, and the longer it will take to grow hair back.

I am familiar with lupron causing hair regrowth, and decreasing the
lethargy, but it doesn't seem to work well with changing the body shape
back to that of a regular ferret. The pear shape that is caused by
accumulation of abdominal fat and loss of regular muscle mass is not a
change that is usually reversed by Lupron.

But what we are looking for is an improvement in quality of life for
non-surgical ferrets. Remember, a human month is a ferret year!

With kindest regards,
Bruce Williams, DVM
