I went into a strip mall pet store and noticed they had ferret toys. I then
noticed a ferret in a small cage with poop built up in the corner. Above
the cage was a sign stating do not touch cage a biter. I called the owner
and asked several questions as to why was the ferret in such a small cage in
such bad shape. I was told the 13 week female was a biter and not to be
handled. To train from biting she said they let her chew on wood to dull
her teeth until she stops teething. I told her I had never heard of this
and did not think it was true and should be done. She argued me down and I
was getting upset as I was bout to leave. Below this cage was a condo cage
with a 8 week male ferret sleeping in it. I started to ask her why wasn't
the bigger ferret in the bigger cage. When I saw some type of rabbit bigger
than a small cat or dog in a cage where it took up half. I left. Was I
mistaken and it does not hurt to chew on wood? If anyone lives in Mo. the
store is in Hazelwood. Email mail me and I can tell you the name it is off
270 thank you Yolanda
