Melissa,

First, I feel for your losses. I know they hurt. You still have your
baby and three fuzzies to love you and for you to love on to heal your
heart. You need time with your babies, all of them.

I didn't have fuzzies when my kids were tiny, but I can imagine. How
about getting a ferret playpen so they can play in the room with you
without being in a baby's crawling/walking way? They can interact at
the edge of the playpen.

I have the Marshall's playpen, two of them actually. They set up and
down very easily. Calculate how much space you could give to it before
deciding whether to get the Add-on panels. I ended up with two full
playpens and the three add-on panels. Once I've got the size right, I
use those plastic tie-outs for keeping computer/electrical wires together
(check hardware store) to keep the add-on panels on or the two full
playpens connected during fold-up and set-out. Then, you fold it up
and push it out of the way or into a closet when the fuzzies go to bed.
Using bungie cords to hold the folded playpen, one whole playpen is no
more than six inches thick when folded up. The Ferret Store has the
playpen, and I notice it at PetSmart also. I think Midwest is making a
similar playpen now also.

Then you could pick up the fuzzies one by one and give them a hug now and
then, and also take care of Katherine, and not feel like you're making
the devil's choice between the two. Just a little lovin' goes a long
way, frequent hugs and kisses won't take long, but you'll all feel
better.

Just do the best you can. The fuzzies will be depressed to go to a new
home. You have to balance the guilt you feel. You obviously love them
very much. Give it a try with a ferret playpen and see if it helps. I'd
use a new home as your last resort after trying everything else. Time is
on your side.

Just love them all the best you can!
