I had asked my vet about the itching and she told me that it is quite
common in ferrets - that they are itchy little critters to begin with.
Just make sure that you aren't exaggerating things for them by bathing
them too frequently and drying out there skin.  Keep an eye out for
anything going on with the skin - lesions, spots etc., which you should
do periodically anyway. :-)
 
My boy will be in a sound sleep when he gets hit with the urge and jumps
up so quickly he tumbles down the ramp in his cage!
