Hi All I need to get some collective advise on my 3 yr old ferret Io.

I am still trying to figure out what is causing a red spotty rash on Io's
chin. It is spreading to her nose and her eyes. The vet (I've been in so
much with Io that she needed a new chart today!) said it is probabley an
allergic reaction to something. Io will be taking benadryl for a bit to
see if that helps clear it up. The vet thinks that it may be an airborne
allergen as it is the time of year. It seems like it itches as Io is
always rubbing her chin on the carpet. I am a bit sceptical as to the vets
probable cause as Io has had this for a while. The only connection I can
see is that around 2 months ago I switched to Totally Ferret. Maybe there
is something in the food that is causing this reaction? Has anybody
experienced this? The vet doesn't want me to switch foods until we see if
the benadryl helps.

I would very much appreciate any insight as I am stumped. I've searched
all through my books and FAQ'S.

Thanks a lot,

Pamela with DiDi & a scratchy Io
