Hi -

I'm one of those newbies who's thinking of getting a ferret and would
like some basic information like handling, care, feeding, etc. Is there
some sort of prepared statement you could send me, or some sort of archive
of that sort of information? I hate to ask the same old questions to the
list if there are other alternatives.

[I include these questions each time they go 'round, so that the
other newbies get to see it too. The best book is "Ferrets", by
Chuck and Fox Morton, Barron's, 1986. The Wendy Winsted book
(TFH), I believe also called "Ferrets" is pretty good. Buy either
one and read it before you buy. They'll let you know what you're
getting yourself into]

                        Thanks,
                                ...eliz
