Actually they wouldn't have too far to go.  The Zoological Society of San
Diego, Director of Collections, James M.  Dolan, Jr.  PhD wrote, on April
11, 1990: "...  regarding the European Ferret, furo.  This is simply a
domestic form of the European polecat.  It does not exist as a wild animal."
