Just a quick note everyone.  I picked up the HSUS file of "ferret bites"
today at the post office.  I have only scanned it, but it is full of repeat
articles (or I was sent duplicates) and the infamous Constantine/Keiser - CA
report is indeed among them.
 
Most articles are from the late 80's, the most recent was 1991 (this was
only a quick scan - I will spend the rest of the week processing this
information and deliver FACTS).  the Jennifer Au incident is among them -
and I know that her ferret never bit the kid, so there is one report we can
eliminate (another ferret in the pet shop bit the child, but Jenny's was
just wanted for testing because it was kept for one day in the same tank.)
 
I did receive the Ithica, NY article today from another source - rabid
ferret bites/scratches and 13 people got anti-rabies shots.
 
Do you think Rachel knows about this one???
