Good evening!

"The other Kat" in Japan here with a question: how the heck do you get
ferrets to Japan?

I know about all of the paperwork and medical requirements
(microchipping, advance notification, etc). That's all perfectly clear .
It's the actual physical realization of moving them from THERE (Columbus,
Ohio) to HERE. Specifically, how to get them to the right place in the
US, because Japan Airlines has no problems with ferrets.

The only airline I can find that specifically says they'll take ferrets
is Delta. Delta doesn't fly out of the West Coast. I can't take /any/
animal into Japan on a flight that's more than 12 hours, so flying
directly from, say, Chicago or Atlanta is not an option. Nor is
California, for obvious reasons. So I basically have to fly out of
Seattle. But Delta doesn't fly there. Only Northwest does (and I
did write them to ask them if I could bring the ferts).

Meanwhile, Delta tells me they don't do international pet shipping. So
how do breeding companies get their ferrets to Japan? Does anyone know?
