I love the PVC coated cages that Skip Martin sells.  They're great!  Easy
to clean, attractive, and durable.  The PVC coating *does not* come off.
Matter of fact, Skip told me that after the wire is PVC coated it goes
through a mechanized wire brushing - if that doesn't take it off nothing
will.
