It is with GREAT sadness that I must find a home for my babies. I will
keep them if I cannot find an acceptable home. I currently have 4
ferrets housed in 2 separate cages. About 6 months ago, I took in my
friends ferrets. There was just now way the 2 sets were ever going to
get along. I think she will be taking hers back. The current 2 that
need homes are mine. I've had them for about 1.5 yrs. These, too, were
given to me to care for. I've had ferrets for over 12 years and 1.5 yrs
ago, we had none. I had to put my last one down. I couldn't let these
babies just go to anyone so we took them in. Mocha ( female) is 3.5y/o
and sweet as can be. She loves to run and play. She has never bitten
anyone in my family or in my house (except the other 2 ferrets which she
dominates them quite a bit). I have 3 human children, ages 2, 3, and 5,
and both of these ferrets have been great with them. My kids have been
raised around ferrets their whole life. Me-Da, is a DEW. When the
previous owner told me about him possibly having trouble seeing because
every once in awhile she said he would run into things. Well... After
finally seeing these sweeties, I made the conclusion that Me-Da (male) is
blind and deaf. She also told me he was a biter, but not ONCE in 1.5 yrs
has this big lug of a baby bit anything in site. He loves peanut butter
and comes out of his cage and stands in the same spot until he gets a
dab. He is my baby...he's very sweet and even loves to play with other
animals. I also have a Jack Russell that both play with. Me-Da, I
believe, is around 5 yrs old. I didn't get his paperwork.

The only reason I am finding my sweethearts a new home is because they
need a place where they are getting more run time. They currently are
getting the best care still and a lot of run time, but Friday morning I
will be getting full custody of 2 more human kids...ages 3 y/o and 4wks
old. I do not know how long I will have custody of my nieces, because
right now they are in foster care. The baby has not been to any family
since being delivered. It's drug issues with my brother and his wife so
it's going to be at least a year I will have them. It's not fair for my
fuzzies to have to not get the time they need.

If I think a suitable home cannot be found, I will keep them because I
know I will still take great care of them because in the short 1.5 yr
I've had them, I wouldn't ever let anything happen to them. I'm in
Central Arkansas and please, only serious inquiries email me. I don't
get to check my email much, because we're finalizing the custody
paperwork. I will not be able to travel very far because I will then
have 5 kids. If you're interested or need more information, please don't
hesitate to ask me. I do have pictures of these sweeties. The other 2
ferrets, Sadie and Katie, may also be available if I can talk my friend
into it. She's always out of town and it was close to a year that they
were not let out of their cage before I got them. They have quite a big
cage they are in and I guess she thought they didn't need run time. Her
2 ferrets are also front declawed, which I think is absolutely terrible.
It's sad everytime I pick them up and see it. They, too are sweethearts
but one can be quite a nipper and not release.

Let me know if you are interested in my 2 fuzzbutts!!!

Thanks!
Danielle
