Hi All,
Does anyone have a ferret who likes being in the cage more than out? Pixel
will sometimes wake up and look at me as if he wants to get out and play.
When I take him out of his cage and set him on the floor, he plays for a
bit then jumps on the futon, walks across the desk and hops back in his
cage for a light snack and a nap. He has a hammock, some bath towels in
the bottom to hide under, a small platform where he can eat and drink out
of his water bowl and a large tube the goes around the top to crawl
around in; so it's not a bad place, as bachelor pads go. He is also not
overweight and his coat and general appearance look good; he's not sick.
Also, a lot has been posted on keeping ferrets away from excessive heat,
but Pixel hates the cold. In the morning, as it gets cooler in the Fall,
he'll either be in the pocket of his hammock or under his towels. Lately
he'll even do this in the early evening. A curious boy.
