Ferrets DO also get shiga toxin poisoning and they DO get the same
kidney syndrome that humans get with it. You can find article on that
in PubMed if desired, or just by searching the separate FHL Archives.

is a press release about the USDA now also not allowing other shiga
toxin producing strains to be sold:

>As a result of today's action, if the E. coli serogroups O26, O103,
