For those of you going to ++The Greatest Ferret Show On Earth++ in the
Chicago area, please make sure you treat yourselves to a good stare at
Noreen and Donna.  Look at these two people by the GCFA booth.  Just look
at them.  They look like average attractive people.
 
Well they aren't!~
No, no-not the attractive part!!
 
Donna and Noreen are heroes in my eyes.  I feel that they should be heroes
in your eyes also.So get whatever is in your eyes now right out of there.
For, Donna and Noreen are that rare breed: The GODSENDS

Caring for hours and days EVERY week for YEARS
For those little ones we all love so:  FERRETS
 
When not waking up Very early to give meds, they might be working until
11 p.m. feeding and changing litter.  Both can do anything: interview
potential ferret parents, sell items, go to flea markets to make money for
the shelters, make soup, fill syringes, give baths, clip nails, return
calls, handle the booths at ferret shows, set up for the shows, pick up
ferrets, etc..  They are calm, intellegent, logical, concerned ,
consistent, responsible care givers..
 
But that is far from all.  This was not enough.  These two had to take home
old sick ferrets to care for.  Over the years-I cannot even venture to
guess how many dozens of lonely sick ferrets these wonderful people have
brought home..
 
They paid for all the vet bills for all of these old sick ferrets out of
their own pockets!  After working at the shelter for no pay until late at
night, they had to go home and care for the many sick ones that no one
would take.  And maybe there was a cute healthy one in there too.
 
But no-there is more.
Neither lady has ever been affected by what-ever differences exist between
the two Chicago area shelters.  They have worked long hard hours for both
shelters.  There is no politcs worthy of discussing.  There is only the
love of ferrets..
 
Please make a point of looking at these two people at The Greatest Ferret
Show on Earth.
 
These two are among the few in life That give up their lives in dedication
to ferrets.
 
These are The Care Givers: Noreen and Donna
Look at them, take pictures, paint their portraits.  ask for their
autographs.  But please don't pin metals on their chests.  For These are so
rare that there is an expression for them.
 
This is what we define as
 GODSENDS
 
One of our Godsends just died, you know.  I never got to tell her how I
felt about her.  So if you get a chance-tell Donna And Noreen- "Thank You
for what you do."
