Hello everyone,

I don't speak much on this board but the time has come for me to do just
that.

You see I am the PROUD father of four fuzzies. I love them all dearly and
I know you feel the same way. Their names are Tommy (9), Simba, Weezer,
Talula(5).

Today, Sunday, I came home to a very hard site Tommy had passed in his
sleep. Monday, of last week, I took him to the vet and they keep him
overnight for observation do to low blood levels. I offered my other
ferrets to help but they were not sure what was wrong yet as he seemed not
to be showing any signs of pain or illness. We got a sonnagram(sp) on
Thursday and found out that appx 75% of his liver had been destroyed by
cancer. All the tests came back negitve, insaloma, lymphatic, and others.
I asked the docter what could be done and he said keep him comfortable and
do what I can. Then maybe surgery when he was stronger. This is the worst
decision I had to make. He would not surrive an asperation of the liver to
confer the cancer nor would he survive surgery so I took him home. All
appeared well and the doctor had no idea how long it would be before he
would pass on. I left town and left him in capable hands and they watched
him very closely. We all agreed that the best thing to do was to wait and
see if we could nurse him back to full health and then have surgery. When
I arrived home on Sunday, Tommy had passed in his sleep only three hours
before I arrived home. He died peacefully and with honor. I love him
turly very much and only wish I could have given him my liver......I must
go now this is too hard.

Keep you fuzzies close to your heart and watch them closely.
