A new Land's End catalog arrived today, featuring a collection of Hawaiian
shirts.  For those not regular Land's End'ers, they do a lot of humor
pieces and some great educational articles (related to garment creating)
as well as pushing chinos and turtlenecks.
 
So it didn't suprise me to see 'Five Case Studies of Island Shirts', but
I was VERY suprised to find that '1997:The Faux Lei', contained a ferret
reference.  Vern "The Ferret" Vole tried to hawk shirts with the lei
pre-printed on the shirt, out of the trunk of his car, at the Hawaiian
Shirt Ethics Council's annual luau.  Did I mention Garrison Keeler often
does pieces for them?
