To the best of my knowledge trhe ferret needs to bne induced ( Induced
ovulation occurs in ferrets) the only way sure to manipulate the ferret
out of heat is with a lupron injection and melatonin implant which will
alter the hormonal messages in the system.  Once this occurs and vulvar
swelling reduces a spay should be at the top of the list!
