This past weekend I attended a work picnic. It was at a beautiful Metro
Park and a perfect oppertunity to promote the fuzzies to the public
(otherwise know as my unsuspecting co-workers). Some freaked out (muttering
about rodents and were promptly corrected!) and others demanded to know what
it was I was holding. I had children glued to me, adults asking questions -
"They really make leashes for those things?", "What do you mean you SHOW
FERRETS!", and ten thousand other questions - including the question of the
day (only asked by one guy thank God) - "Does it have bones?" It was all I
could do to not laugh! The ferret I had with me was such a good boy (a
whole one at that!) and promoted ferrets with utmost ferretness - being pet
& loved on, snoozing in my (and others) arms, dooking & war dancing,
snoofling in the grass, and helping me eat a hot dog and a little girl's
cookie!
