I recently moved to New York City.  I brought 1 of my 3 fuzzies to the vet
for his rabies and distemper vaccinations and nearly fainted when I was told
how much it cost (I should have asked first).  The 5 minute office visit
cost $58 and the 2 vaccines were $30 each!!  I used to live in Maine and the
entire thing cost only $30 total!  I know costs are higher in the big apple,
but this is ridiculous.  To get all 3 vaccinated, it would be cheaper for me
to rent a car and drive to Maine!  What do other NYC owners pay and where do
you go?
