Here's a quick and easy way to put ear drops in.  First get a 1ml/cc
syringe - no needle, drip the drops into the syringe (you only have to do
this the first time and write down the point on the syringe and from then
on you can just pull the medicine into the syringe to that point) for 3
drops I believe it is .05, pull enough in for both ears, quickly place a
few drops of linatone in your ferrets mouth, while they are still licking
squirt 1/2 in each ear.  You are finished before they are even aware you
did anything.  I always try to position the ear so the medicine can go
straight in (push hair to side and tilt head).  It takes a little practice
to get the squirting just right so you may want to use 2 separate
syringes, 1 for each ear, until you are confident you won't squirt it all
in one ear. :-)
